On Lex Fridman’s show, Elon reaches for the scientific method when the conversation turns to consciousness. If you cannot test the hypothesis, you cannot reach a meaningful conclusion that it is true. The rest is preference, or untestable belief, or a fight about words.

That is a trunk rule for every later leaf. Simulation arguments, archetypes, ciphers, love as cosmology: each must say what would count as a miss. A tree that cannot be wrong is not a tree. It is a poster.

Looking is itself a technology. Telescopes, double-blind trials, replication, and the simple habit of asking for a source all hang on this branch.
